Monthly Conservation Tips - May

Upgrade your faucet aerators. Water-efficient faucet aerators installed on your bathroom and kitchen faucets can save hundreds of gallons of water each year without you even noticing a difference. They regulate the water flow to 1.5 gallons per minute or less.

Irrigation: Time it and aim it right. As the weather warms up, look for ways to water wisely. Irrigate in the early morning so less water is lost to evaporation, and avoid watering when it is windy or if the soil is still moist from a recent rain. Make sure that sprinklers are aimed at the ground and aren’t blocked by obstacles or spraying onto the sidewalk.
