Volunteer Opportunities
Get Involved
We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in the community. There are many volunteer opportunities.  

Boards and Commissions
The City Council appoints citizens to committees and boards to advise the Council on certain decisions and policy matters. These dedicated citizens meet on a regular basis to address current issues and look for ways to make Fairview an even better place to live and work.

Commission / Committee Openings
  • Arts & Community Events Advisory Committee - 4 positions
  • Budget Committee - 1 position
  • Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee - 1 position
  • Planning Commission - 3 positions
  
All interested persons are encouraged to apply. Please submit a completed Boards/Commissions application application to the City Recorder.

Citizens on Park Patrol (COPP)

These volunteer positions will help increase visibility in selected city parks. Volunteers will patrol using the department all-terrain vehicle (Yamaha Rhino) and/or on foot patrol.
Applicants must pass a background check and complete a specially designed training course. 

Fairview United Neighbors (F.U.N.)
Join F.U.N. - Choose when, where and how to get involved and volunteer. Volunteers serve in four core areas: Event Support, Park Support, Patrol & Emergency Support, and City Service Support.
